Gladys, a proud native of Peru, educated in Europe and having traveled or lived all over the globe, brought her discerning taste and keen eye to oversee the development of Vineyard Hacienda these past twenty years. Along with her late father, Abelardo, they designed and planted not only the vineyard but all of the extensive grounds on this special 9-acre property.
In addition to her vital role as caretaker of Vineyard hacienda, Gladys raised a family and became extremely involved in her community as a volunteer. Among her many activities she has served as Honorary Consul of Peru and on the Executive Board of the Museum of Man in Balboa Park.
Gladys and her children Julissa, Katty and Joseph founded the House of Peru, and she has served as a Board member of Boys and Girls Foundation, Sustainer at Junior League of San Diego, Board Member at the Committee of 100, on the Group of Twelve – the list goes on and on. Gladys has shared her graciousness, generosity and the spirit that has become Vineyard hacienda throughout San Diego.
She now offers you the same opportunity to experience this beautiful estate.
