In the 1990s, owner Joseph Harmes III, alongside his late mother and grandfather, lovingly transformed the property’s nine acres into the lush, vibrant sanctuary it is today. What began as a family vision became a heartfelt mission: to create a peaceful retreat to be shared with the world.

In 2000, the family opened the doors of Vineyard Hacienda as a long-term rental sanctuary. Guests often stayed for months—some for years—and many became like extended family. In 2014, the property evolved into what it is today: a unique boutique lodging experience and premier event venue, where guests come to celebrate, retreat, and reconnect.
